Every June 14th since 2003 the World Health Organization has dedicated this day to blood donation with the objective of creating awareness in the world about the importance of donating the vital liquid.
This year’s theme is “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.” which aims to highlight the importance of frequent donation, as hundreds of people suffer from diseases that require that requires frequent transfusions to continue enjoying a healthy life.
