World Primary Immunodeficiency Week (WPIW) is a global campaign held every year between April 22-29, aimed at raising awareness for primary immunodeficiencies (PI) and increasing public understanding of these conditions. The campaign’s main objectives are to promote early diagnosis, improve access to treatment and care, and support individuals and families living with PI. Each year the campaign runs under a general theme to promote these main objectives. This year, the campaign focus is around access to care for all PI patients, everywhere.
Let’s make early diagnosis & timely access to quality treatment a reality worldwide!

Municipal Proclamations
In 15 minutes, we can help you to get your municipality to make a declaration about World PI Week!
Please contact Fiona (fiona@immunitycanada.org) who will provide you with the information you need to make this happen. It is easier than it sounds and we are here to help! If you are interested, there might even be an opportunity to meet your Mayor as well as other members at your City Hall.
Please note that proclamations can take 3 – 6 weeks to process for municipalities so be sure you get in touch ASAP if interested!
Provincial Declarations
It is easier than you think for your province to make WPIW a priority, and raise awareness of PI by making a statement in the provincial legislature. All it takes is one person to ask their MLA or MPP. If you are interested in making this happen in your province, please get in touch with David (david@immunitycanada.org) who will walk you through the process and help to get your provincial declaration read during WPIW.
