It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our esteemed colleague, Christine Duncan-Wilson. Christine was more than a leader — she was a visionary, a mentor, and a tireless advocate for our organization.
Over a decade on Immunity Canada’s Board of Directors, Christine brought unwavering commitment, integrity, and wisdom to every decision. Under her tenure as Board Chair, the organization grew stronger, more focused, and more impactful. She led not only with strategic insight, but also with deep compassion, an overwhelming sense of calm and respect and an unshakable belief in the power of community.
A trained nurse educator as well as primary immunodeficiency patient herself, Christine brought many skills to her role on the board and over the years advocated strongly for plasma sufficiency, access to therapies and patient care.
Christine’s legacy will continue to live on in the work we do, the lives we touch, and the values we uphold. We are better for having known and worked with her, and we will honor her memory by continuing to pursue the goals she so passionately championed.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing her; in particular her husband, Gary, and her son, Vince.
