We’re excited to introduce the two new members of the ImmUnity Canada Board of Directors. Stephanie and Sanjay both have personal connection to the PI commUnity, and are incredibly talented professionals who we look forward to working with.
Please join us in welcoming Stephanie Curapov and Sanjay Prajapati!
Stephanie has been a PI patient since 2019, and found ImmUnityCanada (then CIPO) to be a hugely helpful resource in learning about immunodeficiencies. She has met amazing people and attended fantastic events, and she’s very excited to join the board.
By day Stephanie works at a large Canadian financial institution, and on summer weekends you can find her at the race track. In the winter, she enjoys reading and snuggling with her cats (and husband).
Sanjay is an experienced healthcare leader, father, and patient advocate. Currently, he is the Manager of Enterprise Strategy with GreenShield Canada.
Beyond his professional side, Sanjay is an active blood/plasma donor and as a patient advocate to raise awareness for the need to increase the size and diversity of Canada’s stem cell registry in support of the thousand Canadians waiting for a donor match. Both his twin daughters, who are 4, were diagnosed with a PI called Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD). Unfortunately, both daughters have gone through unsuccessful stem cell transplants and will require a second transplant when a matched donor is found to cure their condition.
