British Columbia First to Sign to Improve Access for Rare Disease Patients

July 29, 2024

ImmUnity Canada was pleased to attend as Canadian Health Minister, Hon. Mark Holland, and British Columbia Health Minister, Hon. Adrian Dix signed the first bilateral agreement between the province of BC and the Federal Government for the National Drugs for Rare Disease Strategy. The goal of the Drugs for Rare Disease Strategy is to improve access and equity for all Canadians living with a rare disease. While we welcome this progress, we also encourage greater transparency and inclusion in the process and will continue to advocate for the immunodeficiency community throughout this process.

We’re sick and tired, but we’re not alone.

ImmUnity Canada is a national charity with five provincial chapters across the country.

We empower Canadians impacted by immunodeficiency disorders to live well through education, support, advocacy, community-building, and research.
