Peer Support Coach training in Vancouver BC, on Saturday September 28, 2019

March 21, 2019

CIPO will be hosting Peer Support Coach training in Vancouver BC, on Saturday September 28, 2019.  We are looking for individuals living in BC and Alberta who wish to take part in this one day session.

A CIPO Peer Support Coach provides one-to-one support and encouragement on an as-needed basis to individuals diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency and their family members.

To be considered to receive peer support coach training, you must be diagnosed with PI or an immediate family member of someone with PI and be two years post-diagnosis.   You also must have strong communication and listening skills, and be emotionally well-adjusted and compassionate toward others.

As a CIPO Peer Support Coach you will receive training on how to support and encourage others in the PI community. This is a truly rewarding opportunity that will enable you to use your own experience with PI to help others.

If you are interested in becoming a CIPO Peer Support Coach, please contact Erin Harder, at erin.harder@cipo.ca for more information or about the next steps to take.
